Deceptive Email:
Beware of emails you may receive claiming they are from such well known companies such as Citibank, Earthlink, Ebay et al claiming that they have inadvertently deleted your account information and by clicking on a link provided you can reenter your personal information. This is a scam called ³phishing² which is a high-tech scam that uses spam to deceive consumers into disclosing their credit card numbers, bank account information, Social Security numbers, passwords, and other sensitive information. Do not be fooled. Legitimate companies will never ask you for this type of information via an email.
